Procedure

Online:

1. Use the link to start your application online - Link..
2. Simply click which type of certificate you are applying for and supply all required information.

By Post

1. Use the link provided under 'Documents to Use' section to download the form.
2. Submit your request to the address stated on the form.

In Person

1. You may also submit your request in person by going to the Civil Registry Office.
2. To save you some time, you may use the link provided under 'Documents to Use' section to download the form. You may complete the form at home and bring with you come in to the office.

If you are outside Isle of Man
You may use the link provided under "Office Locations & Contacts" to get in touch with the nearest British Embassy or High Commission in the country you are currently staying. They may be able to help you submit your request to obtain a Civil Partnership Certificate.

Fees

Civil Partnership Certificate: 10.00

Search Fees:
If the exact date of marriage is not known, additional search fees are payable as follows:

• Where a search is required to be made by Registry staff in respect of records from 1980 to date: 5.00
• Where a search is required to be made by Registry staff in respect of records prior to 1980, for every period of 5 years or part thereof that is required to be searched: 25.00

Payment Methods:

• In person: Cash, cheque, debit or credit card payments are accepted. Customers should note that a 2% charge is added when paying by credit card.
• Postal applications: Cheque, postal order, bankers draft or GBP international money order are accepted. Please make these forms of payment payable to Isle of Man Government.

Do not send cash, blank cheques or stamped addressed envelopes with your application.

• Online applications: Debit or credit card

A 2% surcharge will be added if paying by credit card. We do not accept American Express or Diners Club.

Validity

Explain the time until which the certificate/document is valid.
e.g. Birth Certificate Valid Forever

Instructions

Certified copy certificates of civil partnerships registered with Isle of Man's Civil Registry can be obtained from the said office. Statutory records held relate solely to civil partnerships registered since 2011.
