Registering with your local immigration officer
Your permit is valid for 2 years, and you are not required to renew it, instead you go to your local immigration officer and apply for permission to live and work in Ireland without an employment permit. Renew your permission to stay in Ireland by registering with your local immigration officer.
To register you must have these following documents with you:

Provided that you are still working in the same occupation, for the same employer and for at least the same salary you will be given a Stamp 4 permission for 2 years. This will allow you to work in Ireland without a permit. If the immigration officer is not satisfied that you meet the qualifying criteria you will be given a Stamp 1 permission for 3 months and referred to the Employment Permits Section of the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
