Procedure

• Submit your application to:
  • Head of Immigration Office or Immigration Officer, for Indonesian citizens residing or located in Region Indonesia, or
  • Immigration officials (appointed by the Chief Representative of the Republic of Indonesia) to Indonesian citizens residing or located outside the Indonesian region.
• In case there is no immigration officers at Indonesian Representative abroad, the application is submitted to the Chief Representative of the Republic of Indonesia.

Need for the Document

Like a Travel Document Passport to Indonesian nationals (also known as SPLP, "Travel Document in Lieu of a Passport") is an Indonesian travel document issued to persons who do not have other appropriate travel documents, for the purpose of proceeding to and from Indonesia.

Indonesian SPLPs are often issued to Indonesians abroad who have not registered their stay abroad with the Indonesian consulate and have lost their original passports. They may also be issued in Indonesia in case stocks of blank Indonesian passports run low
