India - Renew Fertilizer Storage License

Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Applicant should apply for renewal of fertilizer storage license one month prior to the date of expiry of the validity of license.
2. To renew fertilizer storage license, applicant shall reach out to the registering authority from whom the license was obtained.
3. Please go to the “district agricultural officer’s (DAO)” office in person and apply.
4. Obtain the renewal application form or write on an A4 sheet as advised.
5. Please download the form online using the following Link please refer FORM ‘C’ to apply.
6. Complete the application form. Attach the required documents as mentioned in our required documents session along with original license issued. Also attach original copies of the treasury challan depositing the requisite amount of renewal fees.
7. Submit the document set to the designated authority. Authority will check he submitted application. If all are in place, applicant will be provided with acknowledgement for the submitted application.
8. This application will be processed internally.
9. Applicant will get intimation for inspection of premises through post or mobile in case if required. The designated authority will inspect the premises where the fertilizer is stored and create a report.
10. This report is submitted to licensing officer for reference.
11. If all the criteria is satisfied the license will be renewed. This is intimated to the applicant by post or as per applicable norms.
12. Applicant shall collect their renewed license from the licensing officer at the office.

Note: Where the business of storage of fertilizers is intended to be carried on at more than one place, a separate license should be obtained for each place for use in the office of Licensing Authority

• Original fertilizer storage license along with photocopy of the old license (for reference)
• Form “O”
• Treasury receipt of Prescribed Fee
• Affidavit for Renewal
• Affidavit to the effect that No FIR has been lodged against the authorization renewed for.
• Performance Report from Enforcement Agency as per requirement
• Additional documents (If Any)

Eligibility

• A valid fertilizer storage license holder is eligible to apply for this license.

Fees

• As the fees structure varies from state to state, licensing officer whom applicant applies with will provide fee details.

Validity

A license granted under insecticides (Amendment) Act, shall be valid for the period specified therein, may be renewed from time to time for such period and on payment of such fee as may be prescribed.
