- To Obtain a Business Incubator License, the applicant must make their application online via the Startup India portal link
- If the applicant is the new user click Register which is on the top right corner and enter name, email id, phone number and password then click “register.”
- An OTP will be sent to the applicant’s email. Enter the OTP and click confirm.
- Then go back to the home page and click “Login” and enter email id and password to logging in.
- After Login click “Incubator” and click “Next Step.”
- Then enter all the required details and complete all the steps.
- Then upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- Review and submit the application.
- Then the applicant must pay the prescribed fee as requested by the authority.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
- After scrutinizing the application, the authority will issue the license via email.
- Once you got the license, the applicant can check their incubator profile using the following link link
- This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

To obtain a business incubator license in India, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be a Section 8/Section 25 entity or a registered society.
- Have at least 3 years of experience in running incubation activities.
- Have collaboration with industry partners/bodies.
