Apply Online

  1. To Complaint against Bank, the applicant makes their application online via the RBI Complaint Management System Portal link
  2. Next click on “File a Complaint” and enter the captcha to verify and click “Next” to proceed.
  3. Next the applicant must enter their name and mobile number and click “Get OTP”
  4. Enter the OTP and validate the mobile number.
  5. In the same way enter the email id and validate the email id.
  6. Next select the complaint category from the drop-down menu and enter the person details.
  7. Next enter the details of bank that you intend to make a complaint.
  8. Then answer the question projected there by clicking “Yes” or “No”
  9. Then click on “Next” button to proceed further.
  10. Next enter the date of complaint and upload the necessary documents that are mentioned in “Required Documents” section of this page.
  11. Follow up the questionaries and answer everything and enter the required details without incomplete.
  12. Next click the declaration box and click “Review and Submit”
  13. Check the complaint details in the summary screen and click “Submit.”
  14. Then the applicant will receive a popup regarding successful submission of complaint and can able to download the complaint copy by clicking on “Download pdf”
  15. Then the authority will review the application and process the complaint and take necessary action.
  16. All the process will communicate to the applicant by the means of SMS and email.
  17. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply By Phone

  1. To Complaint against Bank, the applicant makes their application via make the phone call to the RBI Tollfree number 14448, or the applicant contact their respective bank complaint cell using the following link link
  2. Note: The applicant can click on link mentioned on their respective bank
  3. Next provide all the required details asked by the concerned officer.
  4. The officer in charge will take down the complaint and process the complaint.
  5. All the process will communicate to the applicant by the means of SMS and email.
  6. The fee for making complaint against bank is free of cost.
  7. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.



Apply in Person

  1. To Complaint against Bank, the applicant has to approach either their respective bank or approach the office of RBI Ombudsman – link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer. Or the applicant has to download the application form from the following link – link
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
  7. The fee for making complaint against bank is free of cost.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. Then the authority will review the application and process the complaint and take necessary action.
  10. All the process will communicate to the applicant by the means of SMS and email.
  11. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
