Procedure

Apply In-Person

1. To apply for a Hazardous Waste Permit in person, the applicant has to visit the Regional office of the Andhra Pradesh Pollution Control Board.

1. Visit the Regional Office and obtain the FORM 1 for Application for HW Authorization or use the following link to download the Application form: Hazardous waste Application form

1. Please fill the application with essential information and details and it should be attested with the applicant’s signature.

1. Make sure that you have all the documents that are listed in “Required Documents” section of this page. Attach all the important documents mentioned.

1. Then, it should be submitted to the concerned Environmental Engineer who will further put the application and attached documents into scrutiny and check if there is any deficiency.

1. If anything found, it will be returned to the industry online through Single Desk portal. The industry is supposed to resubmit the application or provide proper clarification for the deficiency.

1. The corrected complete application is now sent for Inspection which will be completed within 3 days of receipt of application.

1. The official of the APPCB is free to ask for any information from the Industry through the Single Desk portal before or after Inspection.

1. After that, the application along with the Inspection Report is sent to the Zonal Office for processing within the stipulated timelines. On completion it is forwarded to the Consent for Operation authorities for verification and examination.

1. After further processes, the decision on approval is informed to the user through the Single Desk portal.

Apply Online

1. To apply for HW Authorization online, the industry should visit https://www.apindustries.gov.in/APIndus/ to first register the industry.

1. Note that the APPCB is issuing Consent for Operation (CFO) and Hazardous Waste Authorization (HWA) together.

1. Click on “Apply for Approvals” in the page that opens. Then “Entrepreneur Login” will open. Click on “Click Here to Register” to proceed for Registration.

1. “Single Desk Entrepreneur Registration” module will open in which you have to provide the information such as Personal Details, Contact Details and Industry Details under the respective tabs.

1. Then, Upload the scanned copies of documents asked in the “Documents Upload” tab and proceed to “Declaration”. Click “Submit” button to complete the registration process.

1. Now, login using your Login credentials and proceed to apply Hazardous Waste Authorization.

1. Provide the Occupier Details and Industry Details as required and also fill all the necessary details that are required.

1. Attach the required documents as instructed. Also, make the prescribed fee payment and make the final submission.

1. Then, it shall be submitted to the concerned Environmental Engineer who will further put the application and attached documents into scrutiny and check if there is any deficiency.

Eligibility

• Industries should apply for the HW Authorization only after obtaining the valid Consent/Renewal of consent order.

• The one who applies for HW authorization must be eligible of providing reliable Operating Facility for managing the hazardous wastes effectively.

• The operating facility will be needful for specialized supervision and better instrumentation.

• Hazardous wastes can hardly be reliably disposed a loose confederation. A dedicated operating agency can only offer a solution. Industry and regulatory authorities should, therefore, groom such operating agencies.
