- To Apply for Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Loan, the applicant has to make the application online via the following link
- The applicant has to click “Apply” under Application for New Unit and enter all the details of the applicant that are mentioned in “Required information” section of this page.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- After entering all the details click “Save applicant’s Data.”
- Next the applicant has to upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- After uploading all the necessary documents click on “Final Submission.”
- Next the applicant can download the application form by clicking on download application form.
- The applicant will get a reference number and application ID. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- The fee for applying Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Loan is free of cost.
- This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.
Apply In-Person:
- To Apply for Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Loan, the applicant has to approach the respective state MSME’s Khadi & Village Industry Commission link
- An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
- The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
- Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
- Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
- The fee for applying Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) Loan is free of cost.
- After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
- All applications are processed within a reasonable time, having regard to the particular circumstances of each application, including the completeness of information and documents submitted to the authority by the applicant.
- The authority may seek additional information from an applicant if this is necessary to assess the application. The authority does not need to deal further with an application until the applicant has provided this additional information.
- An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
- Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
- Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets the call from the office regarding the scheme.
- This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Eligibility For PMEGP new enterprises (Units)
- Any individual, above 18 years of age
- There will be no income ceiling for assistance for setting up projects under PMEGP.
- For setting up of project costing above Rs.10 lakh in the Manufacturing sector and above Rs. 5 lakhs in the Service/ Business sector, the beneficiaries should possess at least VIII standard pass educational qualification.
- Assistance under the scheme is available only for new viable projects sanctioned specifically under the PMEGP.
- Existing Units and the units that have already availed any Government Subsidy (under PMRY, REGP, PMEGP, CMEGP or any other scheme of Government of India or State Government) are not eligible.
- Projects without Capital Expenditure (Term Loan) are not eligible.
- Cost of Land cannot be covered under the project cost.
- All Implementing Agencies (KVIC, KVIB, DIC and Coir Board) can process applications in both rural as well as urban areas.
- Applicant should possess valid Aadhaar Number.
- Applicant shall give his/her consent to authenticate demographic details such as Aadhaar number, Name, Gender, Date of Birth and Mobile number from UIDAI server.

- The Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) is a Government of India-backed credit-linked subsidy scheme. Under this scheme, beneficiaries can get a subsidy amounting to 15-35% of the project cost from the government.

- The maximum cost of the project/unit admissible in manufacturing sector is ₹ 25 lakhs and, in the business /service sector, it is ₹ 10 lakhs.

- The scheme is implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) functioning as the nodal agency at the national level. At the state level, the scheme is implemented through State KVIC Directorates, State Khadi and Village Industries Boards (KVIBs), District Industries Centres (DICs) and banks. In such cases KVIC routes government subsidy through designated banks for eventual disbursal to the beneficiaries / entrepreneurs directly into their bank accounts.
