Procedure

Apply Online

1. To Apply for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, the applicant has to make the application online via link
2. The applicant has to click the “Self-Enrollment”
3. Enter the mobile number and click the “Proceed” button.
4. The applicant will receive the OTP on the given mobile number.
5. Enter the OTP and click the “Proceed” button.
6. From the service option, the applicant has to select the Enrolment section.
7. Select the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana.
8. Now enter the details in the application form and click the “Submit” button.
9. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
10. After completing with all the details click the “Submit” button.
11. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
12. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
13. After enrollment, you'll need to select a Pension Fund Manager (PFM) from the list of PFMs provided under the scheme. The PFM manages your contributions and administers your pension account.
14. As a beneficiary of PM-SYM, you will need to make regular contributions towards the pension fund. The contribution amount depends on your age at the time of joining. A part of this contribution will also be paid by the government.
15. Once you reach the age of 60, you'll be eligible to receive a pension under the scheme. The amount of pension will depend on the contributions made and the terms of the scheme at the time of your enrollment.
16. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

Apply In Person

1. To Apply for Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, the applicant has to approach the MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA-GRAMIN link
2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
7. There is a nominal enrollment fee for PM-SYM, which you will need to pay. The fee varies based on your age, as younger individuals have to contribute less.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.

1. To Apply for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, the applicant has to approach a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) link

Note: The applicant has to select their state, district and block from the drop-down menu or the applicant can click on their respective district to find nearby centre.

Eligibility

The applicant is eligible to apply for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM) if you meet the following criteria:

• You are an Indian citizen.
• You are between the ages of 18 and 40 years.
• You are not a member of any other pension scheme, such as the Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) or the Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC).

Need for the Document

• Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana (PM-SYM) is a government-sponsored pension scheme for unorganised sector workers in India. It was launched in 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
