Apply In Person

  1. To Apply for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, the applicant has to approach the MINISTRY OF RURAL DEVELOPMENT, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, PRADHAN MANTRI AWAAS YOJANA-GRAMIN link
  2. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
  4. Make sure that the applicant has attached all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
  6. Submit the application form and the documents to the authorized officer.
  7. The fee for this scheme is free of cost.
  8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference.
  10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  11. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
  12. Also, the officer might involve in site visits for further checks.
  13. After verification, eligible beneficiaries are selected based on the priority criteria set by the scheme. Once selected, your application will be approved, and you'll be notified accordingly.
  14. Upon approval, the applicant can start the process of building the pucca house using the financial assistance provided by the PMAY-G.
  15. The scheme provides funds directly to the beneficiary, who can then use them to construct the house.
  16. This entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.



Apply through the CSC center

  1. To Apply for Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana, the applicant has to approach a nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) link

Note: The applicant has to select their state, district and block from the drop-down menu or the applicant can click on their respective district to find nearby centre.

  1. An application form will be provided to the applicant by the concerned officer.
  2. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form.
  3. The applicant has to attach the required documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page (If required).
  4. Submit the completed application, document and applicable fees to the centre staff.
  5. The application submitted will be processed and a receipt with the application number will be issued.
  6. The applicant is informed through SMS at various stages i.e., Advance intimation about date of visit of the official to his place of residence for verification of his application, Approval/Rejection of his application.
  7. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  8. Once the process gets completed, the applicant gets a call from the office regarding the application.
