Apply Online

  1. To Apply for ATA Carnet Permit, the applicant has to make the application online via link
  2. From the apply online, the applicant has to click the “Applicant login”
  3. If the applicant is a new user, the applicant has to click the “New Registration Sign Up”
  4. The applicant has to enter all the details for the registration process.
  5. Also, upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  6. Finally enter the captcha code and click the “Submit” button.
  7. Now login with your email ID and password and click the “Sign In” button.
  8. Enter all the required details in the application form.
  9. And upload all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  10. Pay the prescribed amount fee in online mode.
  11. Once completed with all the details click the “Submit” button.
  12. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
  13. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
  14. Ensure that all obligations, including re-importation within the specified period, are met. If any duties or taxes were waived with the ATA Carnet, ensure that you comply with all customs regulations.
  15. This entire process can be completed within 15 - 30 days or as per the timeline advised by the respective department authority.

EligibilityEdit

The applicant is eligible to apply for an ATA Carnet permit in India if you meet the following requirements:

  • The applicant is a resident of India or a citizen of a country that is a member of the ATA Carnet system.
  • The applicant is importing or exporting goods that are exempt from customs duties and taxes.
  • The applicant is using the ATA Carnet for temporary exhibition, demonstration, or repair purposes.
  • The applicant is a valid passport or other government-issued identification document.
