Honduras - Single Status Certificate (Certificado de Solter'a)

If you are a Honduras resident, are a single, you can apply for a single status certificate (Certificado de Solter’a). This is usually an essential requirement for marriage at national and international level. The certificate is obtained only in the Municipal Civil Registry from where you were registered. Please follow below guiding to apply for your single status certificate:

Prepare the required documents:
- Your proof of identification as ID card, passport, RTN – National tax registry, or other legal identity documents.
Print your receipt TGR-1 addressed to the National Registry of Persons
- Enter the link TGR-1, key in your identity information. At the Institution option, choose item 180 and at the Item option choose item 12218. Key in amount 200L and print the receipt TGR-1. Then pay the receipt at any bank agency.
Visit a suitable RNP office RNP
- Present the receipt and follow the entire concerned officer’s guiding to make your request of single status certificate.
Confirmation process
- One finished the request, it is on the confirmation process and they will issue the Single status certificate within the next 3 to 5 days.
For use abroad (if needed)
- You wish to use the certificate for abroad; you should follow the below steps to authenticate it:

Print and pay another TGR-1 receipt for 200L similar to the above section.
Visit the Secretary General of the RNP located in Tegucigalpa, Morazán Boulevard, Villatoro Building, first floor OfficePresent the certificate and the paid TGR-1 receipt with the concerned officer, and then follow all of the officer’s guiding to request the document for authentication. You will receive the authenticated document on the next day.
Visit the Secretary of Foreign AffairsSecretaryPresent the authenticated document and follow all of officer’s guiding to request the Authenticated and Apostilled Certificate of Solitude, and pay the applicable fee by make and pay again a receipt TGR-1 for 150L in the bank. Now you have the certificate for use abroad.
