ProcedureEdit

The applicant can send application by mail to the Police Clearance Service Center, with the required documents.

If you live abroad and wish to obtain a copy of a criminal record, you need to send a personal and written request by post or fax

You must sign the request and include your surname, first name(s), date and place of birth, address and the reason for the request. It is preferable, but not mandatory, to attach a copy of your identity card or passport.

If you wish to obtain a copy of a criminal record for a period of time during which you lived abroad, you need to contact directly the authorities of the country where you lived.

Required DocumentsEdit

The following documents need to be submitted by each applicant to get PCC:

  • Valid Passport which should be original.
  • Proof of residence.
  • A set of three completed Personal Particulars Form if the applicant has not stayed at the present address for the last one year.
  • Proof of identity of the applicant

EligibilityEdit

If you require a police certificate or a check for convictions only, this can be obtained through an accredited private fingerprinting company.

The certificate may be received only by the applicant about whom the information is provided, or, in his/her absence, by other individual authorized by the applicant, after presenting a Letter of Attorney, certified by a notary public.

To receive the police clearance certificate:

  • Applicant receives the certificate at the Police Clearance Service Center by him/herself.
  • Authorize his/her representative to receive on his/her behalf
  • The Police Clearance Service Center mails the certificate to the applicant (a self-addressed envelope with pre-paid stamps and applicant's address provided for Police Clearance Service Center ).
