Procedure

Apply In Person

1. To Apply for Dwarf (Short) People Allowance, the applicant has to approach their respective Social Justice Offices link
2. The applicant can obtain the application form from the concerned officer.
3. The applicant has to fill in all the necessary details in the application form. (Incomplete applications are not accepted)
4. Make sure that the applicant has to attach all the necessary documents that are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. The applicant has to attach the photocopies of the required documents along with the application form while submitting.
6. Submit all the documents with the completed form to the concerned officer.
7. The fee for this procedure is free of cost.
8. After receiving the application, the concerned authority will check the submitted application and document set. If all are in place, the application will be accepted.
9. An acknowledgment receipt will be provided. Please save it for future reference, it contains the application summary and contact details of the person to be contacted.
10. Then the application will be processed further. All the updates on the application status will be sent via SMS to the applicant’s mobile number.
11. Once the process gets completed successfully, the applicant gets the allowance
12. The processing time for this procedure is up to 15-30 days.

Apply Through Registered CSC

1. To Apply for Dwarf (Short) People Allowance, the applicant has to approach nearby Common Service Centre (CSC) Link

   Note: The applicant has to select their state, district and block from the drop-down menu or the applicant can click on their respective district to find nearby centre.

2. Please visit the centre and consult with the centre operator for requirement.
3. If the operator issues an application form, then collect it and pay the requisite fee. Please complete the application form.
4. Now, submit the completed application along with the required documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
5. The operator will process the application online. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
6. The applicant will also get a transaction number as a text message on their registered mobile number.
7. Applicant has to make necessary payment as centre operator quotes and don’t forget to take the receipt.
8. This application will be forwarded to the respective department for further processing.
9. ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification.
10. The submitted application will be processed by the department. A designated authority will verify the submitted documents and inspect the area of the applicant to clarify the applicant’s details.
11. Based on the outcome of the above-mentioned steps and other internal processing, the designated issuing authority will issue Allowance.
12. The status, viz. Approval or Rejection will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or applicable norms.

Need for the Document

• Dwarf persons who are living in various parts of the State are being given allowance. A male person with 3 feet 8 inches or less height and a female with 3 feet 3 inches or less height (equivalent to 70% handicapped) is entitled to monthly allowance.
