Procedure

Apply In-Person :

1. To apply for a Conductor License in Himachal Pradesh the applicant has to approach the RTO office to which his area belongs to. Following link can provide you information related to the list of RTO office : RTO Office
2. Application Form in HP FORM VII L.CON.A is required. Application form can be obtained from the following link : Application Form
3. The applicant should make sure they are eligible for applying for Conductor License by reading through the eligibility criteria that has been listed out under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
4. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down in the “Required Document” section of this page.
5. Application forms can also be obtained from the appropriate RTO offices that can be completed and presented with appropriate fees.
6. Present the completed application forms in one of the counter and pay the appropriate fee where the officials would start processing your application.
7. You have to submit a medical certificate of fitness in Form IX MC Con Form IX along with a certificate showing competence to undertake first aid work in Form VIII F.A.B. Form VIII from Chief Medical Officer in-charge of a referral hospital or Sub Divisional Hospital or Rural Hospital or Civil Hospital or Civil Hospital, as the case may be, in Himachal Pradesh.
8. After verifying the medical certificate, if the licensing authority has reason to believe that the applicant is physically unfit to perform the duties of a conductor, it may call upon him to furnish a third copy of his clear and recent photograph in addition to the photographs already furnished and to produce another medical certificate of fitness in HP Form IX MC Con Form IX from a Medical Officer of the District concerned for this purpose and the photograph so furnished should be firmly affixed with the application duly signed and sealed by the registered medical practitioner.
9. If the licensing authority is satisfied with your application and the medical fitness then you will be provided with conductor license

1. As a first step, make sure you have all the required documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page
2. Application for Conductor License can also be made on-line through the following link Application
3. Please follow through the screen and make selections provided appropriately like...
   1. Select the tab “Driving License Related Services”
   2. Select the Language (English / Hindi) and State as “Himachal Pradesh”
   3. In the following screen please select “Apply Online” to get a drop down menu.
4. Please click “New Conductor’s License” to proceed with completion of online application process.
5. Upload the requested documents appropriately.
6. You should reach the RTO office well before the appointment time as scheduled during online application process.
7. From the time you reach RTO office, the procedure will be the one which is applicable as per applying in person.

3. Application form of Medical Certificate showing competence to undertake first aid work can be obtained from following link: First Aid
4. Two clear copies of recent photographs of the applicant.
5. Proof of age, appropriate for relevant class of vehicle :
   1. Ration card, Voter identity card, Life insurance policy, Passport, School certificate, Birth certificate or
   2. Certificate granted by a registered medical practitioner not below the rank of a Civil Surgeon(as applicable) or
   3. Self-swearing Affidavit by an applicant before an executive Magistrate or a First Class Judicial Magistrate or a Notary Public as evidence of age
6. Proof of residence :
   1. Ration Card, Voter identity card, Aadhar Identity Card, Pay slip issued by any office of the central government or a state government, Electricity bill, Telephone bill, House tax receipt showing the name of the name of the applicant
   2. If the applicant is not able to produce any of the above documents for a sufficient reason the licensing authority may accept any affidavit sworn by the applicant before an Executive Magistrate, or a First Class Judicial Magistrate or a Notary Public as evidence of residence.
7. Aadhaar Card
8. A cash receipt or a treasury challan in token of payment of fee.

Eligibility

2. Candidate must possess knowledge of the provisions of the Act and the rules made thereunder
3. Candidate must be conversant with the duties and functions of a conductor
4. Candidate should have a sound physique and
5. Must have satisfactory proof of his good character.
   

Fees

Validity

Conductor’s License is valid for a period of three years from the date of issue and eligible to use throughout the State.
