Apply In-Person:
- To renew the fair price shop/ ration shop licence, the valid licence holder shall approach the respective District Food and Supplies Controller Office as appropriate to apply.

- Please visit the respective office and consult with the designated authority. The authority will provide the details for renewal. The applicant shall meet the designated authority as advised and collect the application form or write on a plain A4 sheet as advised.
- Please complete the application form. Attach the documents as per the “Required Documents” section of this page along with the appropriate payment for renewal, if any, as applicable and submit them to the designated receiving authority as advised.
- After receiving the application, the authorities will examine the application and other documents furnished. If all are in place, the application will be accepted and an acknowledgement receipt will be provided. Please keep it safe for future reference.
- ”SMS” triggered update on application status will be sent to the applicant’s mobile. Please keep track of the notification from the department.
- This application will be processed further. The concerned authorities will verify the applicant’s details, documents and forward the application to the licensing wing for the rest of the process.
- The licensing wing shall ensure the proper verification through Block Supply officer/Supply Inspector.
- A ground level verification and due diligence will be carried out. Once the verification is complete, the recommendation and report of the verification/inspection team will be forwarded to the licensing wing.
- The licensing wing will forward the application, document, report and recommendation to the concerned sanctioning authority. The sanctioning authority will approve the application for renewal.
- The status, viz. Approval or Rejection, if any, will be conveyed to the applicant through an “SMS” or as per norms.
- The applicant shall follow the department’s notification. The applicant shall go to the office as notified and meet the authorities on the scheduled date with the originals of all the required documents and follow their guidelines to get a renewed licence. The licence will be delivered as per department’s delivery norms.
- The entire process can be completed within 30 days or as per the timeline notified by the department.

- Note: For getting renewal, the applicant should not be employed in any government organization.

EligibilityEdit
- A valid fair price shop / ration shop licence holder is eligible to apply before the lapse of the licence.
- The applicant should not be employed by any government organization at the time of renewal.
- The licence shall not be renewed during the suspension of the licence due to any reason by the government.
FeesEdit
- The applicant has to pay the renewal charges as notified.
- Fee information can be obtained directly from the department office while applying.
- The applicant has to pay the court fee stamp charges as appropriate.
ValidityEdit
- The renewed licence shall be valid for 5 years and it needs to be renewed periodically as per norms.
- The applicant shall apply to renew the licence within 31st of December of the respective renewal year or as per the time period scheduled.

InstructionsEdit
- The renewed licence shall be exhibited in the applicable place and shall be produced for verification by the Government as and when demanded.
- The government has all the rights to cancel the licence, in the case of contravention of any aforementioned rules.
- The applicant should abide by all the conditions laid down in the license notification.
- Please mention the details (name / address) as per the documents that are provided as proof.
- During the renewal, the applicant should provide full co-operation in providing the records, details and allow the authorities to do the investigation at the premise.
- Incomplete application will be rejected.
- Do not submit fake documents as a proof.
- Avoid spelling mistakes while filling out the application form.
- If it comes to the notice of the department at a later date that particulars given by an applicant are either wrong or contrary to the truth , the renewed licence will be cancelled and action will be pursued against the applicant.
