Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To obtain Driver License Extract, the applicant has to approach the nearest RTO office of your area.

3. Make sure you are eligible to make the application by going through the eligibility criteria provided under the “Eligibility” section of this page.
4. Apply for DL Extract in writing on a A4 paper by affixing 5-rupee stamp on the top right corner of your requisition letter.
5. Now submit the completed application forms which you have done in online and attach all the #Required Documents as mentioned in the Required Documents section along with the form and submit it to the RTO office.
6. Pay the appropriate fees as per authorities quotes.
7. The authorities will process your application.
8. After all the process the authorities will Issue the DL Extract.

1. To apply for driver license extract (DL extract), the applicant has to visit the official portal of the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways: Link to Portal
2. In the homepage, please scroll down to “Informational Services” and click on the “more” button in the “Citizen Guide” tab.
3. The applicant will be taken to the “Manual” page where all the available services will be listed.
4. Please click on the name of the required service and click on “Step by Step procedure” from the drop down menu.
5. The applicant will be taken to a new PDF page where the process for applying will be explained clearly.
6. Please follow the steps to complete the application.

• Photocopy of Driving License (Both front and back in a single page).
• Rs 5 court fee Stamp.
• Original DL needs to be handy. (will be returned after verifying in person while submitting application at the counter)

Eligibility

• To apply for DL Extract the applicant should be a Valid driving license holder.
• Those who are in need of foreign DL can apply.

• Rs.5 stamp for application.
• Online fees – Rs.25.
