  • Apply for a duplicate ration card, when…
    • Original Ration Card is Totally Damaged
    • Original Ration Card is stolen
    • Original Ration Card is Lost or Misplaced


Apply In-Person

  1. In order to obtain a duplicate ration card, please approach the ration office of your area OR office of District Food and Supplies Controller/Assistant Food and Supplies Officer/Inspector Food and Supplies office as applicable.

  3. Please go to the respective office.
  4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used Or use the following link to download the form. Link
  5. The Head of Family Must write a letter stating the reason behind a new ration card request and attach the remains of original ration card (in case of damaged ration card) or the copy of report registered with police station (in case of lost or stolen ration card).
  6. Please submit the completed application along with required documents to the respective authority.
  7. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
  8. Keep it safe for future reference.
  9. This application will be processed internally to issue the ration card as per notification.



Apply Online

  1. Please use the following link to reach online portal. Link: online link
  2. In the given page please complete the login prompt and hit “Submit” to reach next page.
    1. If you are a new user, please hit “New user? Register here” to register and then login.
  3. In the new page, please select “View all available services” on the left part of the page to get list of services.
  4. Please select the service name “Issuance of Duplicate Ration Card” under “Food & supplies department” to get next page.
  5. Here go through the details provided and enter the ration card at the prompted place and hit “GO” for details of the ration card and please fill in mobile and email ID at the appropriate prompts to get new session for entering /selecting details for duplicate ration card.
  6. Applicant has to select respective office and associated details from the drop down selection and finally hit “Submit” to submit application.
  7. User gets next screen for uploading required documents. Please upload and hit “submit”.
  8. Now please hit “print” option to print the application and submit it to the respective office for further processing.

Apply through Centres:

  1. To apply through centres, the applicant has to visit the respective “CSC” centre. Please tap on the following Link to locate the centre according to the respective district: Link.
  2. Make sure to have the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  3. An application form can be obtained through the kiosk operator upon visiting the centre.
  4. It is advised to take the documents in original to the kiosk for scanning purposes.
  5. The operator will process the application online.
  6. On successful submission, the applicant will receive an application number as acknowledgement.
  7. Pay the fee as given in the “Fees” section of this page and collect the receipt.
  8. After the application form is processed, an enquiry officer will make a thorough verification regarding the documents submitted along with the form.
  9. Collect the acknowledgment slip after submitting the form.
  10. Use the acknowledgment slip to get the card in a stipulated period of time.

  • For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
  • Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID. Hence one need to apply for duplicate copy and obtain the same.
