Apply In-Person (PASCHIM GUJARAT VIJ COMPANY LIMITED):

  1. Go to your area local Electricity office personally and consult with the authority for your need. They will suggest you with the correct main/division office to contact and apply for temporary Electricity (EB) connection.
  2. Go to the respective office (Sub division) and meet the respective authority with the available documents. On their advice, collect the form and initiate the process to apply.
  3. Collect the form from the office or download it from the link: Link [Form Sr. no.- 5 or 6]
  4. Once the application is filled submit it along with required document to the concerned authorities at the respective office. (must include licensed electrical contractor intended to do wiring)
  5. Authorities will verify the submitted documents; if all the documents are in place then authorities will advise the customer to pay the fee for this procedure.
  6. Once the payment is made, a receipt will be issued to the applicant. Keep it safe for future reference.
  7. This application will be subjected for internal processing and a technician will inspect the premises on a scheduled date at the presence of applicant.
  8. On satisfactory inspection in all respect by the officials payment has to be done accordingly.
  9. After payment, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.

  1. To apply online for temporary electricity supply navigate to the link: Link
  2. Click on “Consumer Service”, “Apply for New Connection” and “LT Temporary Connection”.
  3. If you're a new user, register a new account by selecting "Register Now". Enter your details and click on submit.
  4. Login using your valid login credentials and fill in the application form.
  5. Refer to “Required Information” section of this procedure and also upload required documents.
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. The applicant will be contacted by DCVCL officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
  8. Once verification is successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.


Apply online (UGCVL):

  1. To apply online for temporary electricity supply navigate to the link: Link
  2. Click on Consumer and “Consumer Services/Investor Potential”.
  3. Scroll down till “Apply for New Connection” and click on “LT Temporary Connection”.
  4. Fill in the application form and all the required details and upload all required documents.
  5. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  6. The applicant will be contacted by UGVCL officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.
  7. Once verification is successful, connection will be effected according to consumer’s application.


Apply Online (MGVCL):

  1. To apply online for temporary electricity supply navigate to the link: Link
  2. Click on “Consumer Links” and “Consumer Services”.
  3. Click on “Apply for New Connection” and “LT Temporary Connection”.
  4. Login using your valid credentials.
  5. Fill in the application form and all the required details and upload all required documents.
  6. Please make sure you have all the documents that are listed down the “Required Document” section of this page.
  7. The applicant will be contacted by UGVCL officer /Call Centre Representative on email/mobile provided by you for verification.

Processing TimeEdit

The date of availing the temporary supply may be got amended by the consumer, by applying to the authority who has issued the orders before the commencement date indicated in the order. However, any alternate date proposed shall commence within 15 days of the date of the first order.
