Procedure

• Apply for a duplicate ration card, when…
  • Original Ration Card is Totally Damaged
  • Original Ration Card is stolen
  • Original Ration Card is Lost or Misplaced

Apply In-Person

1. In order to obtain a duplicate ration card, please approach the ration office of your area OR The Mamlatdar office /Jan seva Kendra as applicable.
2. Link for contact :link in the given page, please select the district as listed to reach the respective district portal. Please select menu “Offices” > “Mamlatdar Office” for contact details. AND link Jan seva Kendra at respective municipality
3. Please go to the respective office.
4. Applicant shall obtain the form from the respective office (please pay for the form if required) Or a written/electronically typed application on A4 plain sheet as advised shall be used OR can use the following link to download. Link : Form
5. The Head of Family Must write a letter stating the reason behind a new ration card request and attach the remains of original ration card (in case of damaged ration card) or the copy of report registered with police station (in case of lost or stolen ration card).
6. Please submit the completed application along with required documents to the respective authority.
7. Authorities after checking the submitted application along with attached documents will make entries and provide you record number for reference.
8. Keep it safe for future reference.
9. This application will be processed internally to issue the ration card as per notification.

Apply Online

2. Please hit the “Application for Duplicate Ration Card” tab from the list of services provided to reach next page.
3. In the given page, please go through the details and hit the apply online option provided at the bottom.
4. In the given page, user need to select email/mobile from the drop down for login.
5. Complete the page prompt to login by clicking login.
   1. If you are a new user to this portal, then click on “Click For New Registration(Citizen)” link, it will redirect you to user registration page to register
6. Once login, user need to hit the respective option and complete the successive page prompts and also upload required documents to apply online by hitting the right tab.
7. After successful submission of your application you can take the print of your application form and proceed further with the online payment.
8. Please pay using any of the two options
   1. Using E-Wallet
   2. Using Gateway
9. This application will be processed by the respective department.
10. Citizen will get an SMS for the status of his/her application and has to follow as per notification to get the card.

• If your application is returned for change or to fill incomplete details, kindly submit it within 37 days of return. If fail to submit within 37 days application will be disposed with rejection. Application fee will not be refunded.

Need for the Document

• For implementation of the Targeted Public Distribution System(TPDS), Ration Card is being issued to all the heads of families, with details about family members included in the card. Based on their economic condition, people can buy goods like food grains, sugar and kerosene with the help of their ration cards.
• Ration card is essential to apply for passport, PAN card or a domicile certificate or to even get the name registered for electoral rolls to get a Voter ID. Hence one need to apply for duplicate copy and obtain the same.
