Procedure

Apply In Person:

1. The license/permission for demolishing any building is provided by the concerned authorities in the Municipal Corporation. Contacts
2. The application form has to be obtained from the authorities in the respective district Municipal Corporation.
3. The application form can also be downloaded from the official Website. Application Form
4. You have to select the “Application for Development Permission for Building”.
5. The prescribed application form for building demolition is Form 5/C.
6. The application form has to be handwritten by the person/owner/agent applying for demolition purposes.
7. The application form has to be submitted along with the required documents prescribed by the authorities.
8. Make sure that you have all the documents which are mentioned in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
9. The fee estimation will be provided by the authorities based on the building type and its location.
10. Before the demolition, the owner has to make sure to disconnect the supplies to the building such as
    • Water Supply
    • Electricity Supply
    • Sewage Connection
11. The permit for demolition will not be granted until the owner gets a statement from the respective service connections and appurtenant equipment.
12. All the meters and regulators should be removed, sealed, and plugged in a safe manner before demolition.
13. After supervising everything the authorities will provide permission to demolish the building.

Required Documents

The documents that are necessary for the building demolition permission are:

• Four copies of the (Ferro-Paper or any type of paper)
• Building Plan
• Ownership document
• Supervision certificate
• Affidavit for peaceful possession of the land
• Structural stability certificate
• NOC from the lessee in case of ease hold
• NOC from Fire Officer
• NOC from Airport Authority
• Environmental clearance
• Details of Fee
• Checklist of the proposed building
• Any other certificate/NOC
• One set of copies should be laminated, and the extra copies if demanded by the authorities.
• NOC certificate from the Neighbour (if the building is Semi-Detached).
• All the copies have to be self-attested by the owner.
• A soft copy in the CAD format can also be submitted by the owner of the building.

Eligibility

Any individual who owns the building is eligible to seek permission for building demolition.

Fees

The fee structure for the demolition of the building is given by the respective authorities after surveying the particular building.

Validity

The building demolition license is valid for 3 years from the date of permission granted. If the license expired, you have to reapply for a new license.
