Applying process in Guinea for citizen and non citizens.

a.Apply in-person
  1. Police Clearance Certificate can be applied at “Conakry Court of Appeal”.

  4. Go to the respective office. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.
  5. Application forms can be obtained from the respective office on visit.
  6. Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents. Applicant should pay for any charges if required as advised.
  7. This application will be processed by respective department.
  8. The certificate can be collected from the office where applicant applied in person or will be delivered through mail upon notification or issued as per norms.


Applying process – overseas for citizen and non citizens.

a. Apply through representative from overseas
  1. Applicant shall apply through the company or corporation that they worked or their guardian in Guinea.
  2. Representing person should be entrusted with the written authorization.

  • A copy of your passport while living in Guinea.
  • A copy of your permit of stay in Guinea, passport number and place of issue as well.
  • Proofs of legal stay (copy of passport held during the said period with respective stamp and seal).

  • Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
  • Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
  • The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
  • Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

Need for the DocumentEdit

A Criminal Record Extract or an Extrait du Casier Judiciaire (Bulletin No. 3) is issued by the Bureau Du Greffe of the court whose jurisdiction includes the applicant's place of birth. The court may be either a Tribunal De Premiere instance or a Justice De Paix. The extrait should be signed by the Greffier En Chef. It should also be signed by either the Procureur De La Republique or the Juge De Paix whose jurisdiction includes the applicant's place of birth.

If you are convicted of a crime, a criminal record is created. This is equivalent to a police clearance certificate, police record, police file, police check or criminal check. If you are asked for any of these, a copy of your criminal record from the Police should meet the requirements. If you have no convictions, you will receive a letter stating that is the case.



Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit

Police Certificate, lists an individuals criminal and traffic court outcomes and pending charges that are deemed disclosable at the time of application. The certificate is used by many employers and licensing bodies for their screening process.

If you are unable to provide a Police Certificate, you must provide a separate Statutory Declaration, detailing your attempts to obtain a Police Certificate and stating whether you have been found guilty or convicted of, or charged with, offences against the law in that country. This Statutory Declaration should also be corroborated by other information attesting to your character.
