Disc parking areas operate on a 24-hour basis and you must set your parking clock whenever you park in such areas. The time limits only apply where the period concerned ends between 8.00am and 6.00pm. For instance, if a car is parked in a normal 2 hour zone at 3.30pm, it must be moved by 5.30pm. However, if the car is parked at 6.30pm in the same area, because the 2 hour period then ends at 8.30pm (i.e. after the time restrictions have ended) the car can remain in the zone until 8.00am the following morning. Residents may apply to have had this period extended.
Following is a procedure on how you can apply for a extended permit for residents parking.
