Late Registration (60 days after birth)

  1. Obtain all necessary documents.
  2. Go to the National Registry to register a child's birth. If the child is older than 10 years, two witnesses who are over 18 must be present during the registration process, they need to present their Personal Identification Document-DPI.
  3. Submit all required documents and pay the fine for late registration.


Late Registration - 18 years old and up (possess Neighbourhood Certificate)

    • Rectify the report of birth
    • Submit a Birth Refusal


Late Registration - 18 years old and up (possess Neighbourhood Certificate)

  • Photocopy of Neighbourhood Certificate
  • Negative Certification of Birth issued by the Civil Registry of Persons of Renap
  • Administrative Affidavit provided to the Registrar or to an appropriate authority, by two adult witnesses (not necessarily greater than the applicant) who have personal identification document DPI.


Late Registration - 18 years old and up (do not have Neighbourhood Certificate)

  • Include in the Administrative Affidavit of merit, the identification of the applicant, especially the name by which it he/she is known or use in public constantly, full names of parents, date and place of birth, and other information and referral for enrollment Registry
  • Negative Certification of Birth issued by the Civil Registry of Persons of Renap
  • Administrative Affidavit provided to the Registrar or to an appropriate authority, by two adult witnesses (not necessarily greater than the applicant) who have personal identification document DPI.

Registration of birth is a legal act to be formalized before the National Registry- RENAP - within sixty (60) days after the child's birth and may be registered in the place where the birth occurred or the place where the parents or persons exercising parental authority have established their residence. Birth registered after 60 days will be considered late registration.
