- Have all the required documents photocopied.
- Go to any RENAP office to apply for replacement of card.

Resident Alien- New (do not have Neighborhood Certificate)
- Alien Resident Certificate
- Ornamental Ticket for the year
Resident Alien (Adult)
- Application Form for Resident Alien
- Alien Resident Certificate issued by the Directorate General of Immigration (Pink Sheet) and two certified copies of the same
- Original passport and photocopy of current sheets with the main data
- Tax Stamp (50 cents)
Resident Alien (Minor)
- Application Form Resident Alien
- Alien Resident Certificate issued by the Directorate General of Immigration (Pink Sheet) and two certified copies of the same
- Original passport and photocopy of current sheets with the main data
- Certificate Neighbourhood current DPI or original passport and photocopy of the respondent (must be the parent)
- Tax Stamp (50 cents)
Foreigners with Neighborhood Certificate
- Have completed the process of extension of Data at Renap Notary Offices
- Alien Resident Certificate (with annotations)
- Original Neighborhood Certificate
- Ornamental Ticket for the year

The DPI system is created to answer the need to have a national regulation regarding personal documentation, adapting to technological advances.
The DPI is a public document by which people can identify themselves to exercise the right to vote and it is the only document that can be used for all civil, administrative and legal, and in general for all cases required by law.
