ProcedureEdit

  1. To renew your vehicle license, have it checked first by a reputable mechanic to ensure that it is functioning and road worthy. The engine must be clean.
  2. Proceed to an inspection center closest to you to have a your vehicle inspected.
  3. Pay the application fee at the Inland Revenue or any Revenue office.
  4. Proceed to the licensing officer (Inland Revenue or district Police Stations) with your cash receipt, inspection certificate and valid insurance to collect your decal.
  5. Affix your new license decal to the lower left corner of your windscreen and make sure that you remove the old one in the process.


Public service and private vehicle inspection schedule (Operating Hours: 9:00 am to 12:00 nn and 1:00pm to 4:30pm):

  • Police Garage, Dusty Highway, Grand Anse, St. George's:
Monday to Friday
  • Grenville, at Pearls Air Strip
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
  • St. David's Police Station
Every Thursday and Friday
  • Sauteurs Police Station
Thursday and Friday
  • Gouyave Police Station
Monday and Tuesday
  • Victoria Police Station
Every Wednesday
  • Carriacou Police Station
The last Thursday and Friday of every month, and at the end of every period

Vehicles are licensed during the months of January to June on an annual basis according to Regulation 22 of Grenada's Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Regulation.


Schedule of licensing vehicles:

Registration numbers with single registration letter

  • 0001 2500: Jan 02 Feb 15
  • 2501 5000: Feb 16 Mar 31
  • 5001 7500: Apr 01 May 15
  • 7501 9999: May 16 June 30


Registration numbers with plural registration letter

  • 001 250: Jan 02 Feb 15
  • 251 500: Feb 16 Mar 31
  • 501 750: Apr 01 May 15
  • 751 999: May 16 June 30
