Applying process in Grenada for citizen and non citizens.
- a.Apply in-person
- Police Clearance Certificate can be applied at “Criminal Records Office”.
- Go to the respective office. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.
- Application forms can be obtained from the respective office on visit. Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents. Applicant should pay for any charges if required as advised.
- This application will be processed by respective department.
- The certificate can be collected from the office where applicant applied in person or will be delivered through mail upon notification or issued as per norms.

Applying process – overseas for citizen and non citizens.
- a. Apply through mail(post)
- Applicant has to apply with the “Criminal Records Office” to obtain the PCC through mail(post).
- Please attach the completed application, required document and fee paid details.
- Mail it to the address:

- This application received will be processed by respective department. The certificate will be delivered to the applicant as per norms.
- b. Apply through representative from overseas
- Applicant shall mandate an authorized representative to apply on their behalf.
- The mandated person should be entrusted with the written authorization.
- Application forms can be obtained from the respective office on visit .
- Representative should go to the respective office. Don’t forget to take the required copy of documents along with originals to the office.
- Please follow as per authorities guidelines and submit the completed application along with documents. #Representative should pay for any charges if required as advised.

EligibilityEdit
- Applicant with valid passport and a valid address proof.
- Age: 16 years and above. In case of minors, the application must be submitted by the parent exercising parental authority, if the minor has not turned 16 years.
- The current address of the applicant must be same as in the passport and other supporting documents.
- Applicants who are in need of residential status, employment or long term visa or for immigration to a foreign nation.

Before arriving at the Criminal Records Office, pay the fee at the Inland Revenue Department (First Floor), Ministry of Finance Complex on the Carenage.
- Local Requests
- You should apply in person with two passport-size photos at Criminal Records Office
- Non-Resident Requests
- You should apply in person, by mail or someone may apply for you to the Commissioner of Police at the above address, providing two passport-size photographs and a full set of fingerprints taken by a recognized police authority, with details of periods of residency and previous addresses. If applying by mail, include a stamped, addressed envelope for the police certificate to be mailed to you.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A police certificate is an official document issued by police or government agency of a country to enumerate any criminal records that the applicant may or may not have. Criminal records may include arrest, conviction, and possibly criminal proceedings.
The Criminal Records Office of the Royal Grenada Police Force has the responsibility of processing Certificate of Character or Police Records. The office currently operates in the Millinnium Building (adjacent to Modern Photo Studio) on Gore Street in the town of St. George's, from Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
Information which might helpEdit
International use include: (United States travel & employment on cruise ship or other marine related employment). In some instances, more than one record would be required. Each record requires:
- Two (2) passport photos (not older than six months). An extra photos for each additional record
- $25 (EC) receipt from treasury or revenue (sub) office or $40 for (2) records
- Original fingerprint
- Passport or NIS ID
- if above ID is not available provide Birth Certificate and any other picture ID
- Copy of passport data page must be sent for persons applying from overseas
Note for overseas applicants:
- Fingerprint must be from an authentic fingerprint agency
- Where money order is being used, it must be made to Commissioner of Police and include $10 processing fee
Other uses of the Document/CertificateEdit
A police clearance certificate is a copy of your criminal record or a declaration of the absence of any criminal record. Police clearance certificates are different in each country and territory and may be called police certificates, good conduct certificates, judicial record extracts, pcc, etc. They are issued by police authorities or government departments and used by Citizenship and Immigration to prevent individuals who possess a risk to Country's security from entering the country.

In many immigration cases you may be requested by relevant Government to present Police Clearance Certificate from another country where you have resided for some time. If you are going through immigration process, you will definitely be asked for such a certificate.
