ProcedureEdit

  1. Visit the License Department (Inland Revenue) or at any District Revenue Office/Police Station of Grenada with all the required documents and fees
  2. Request for the application form ,Pay the application fee $50.00 and fill it correctly
  3. First time driver must choose which type of license they wish to apply for. The motorist will have the choice of the following driver’s licenses: class A, class B, class C, Class M or commercial CDL
  4. Submit the filled application form and attach all the required documents to the attending officer
  5. A medical test will be carried out on site to prove that you are of sane mind and don’t have any history of life threating disease that may risk your life and the safety of other motorist and you are not vision or hearing impaired or you can take the test in hospital that are certify by the government and bring the medical certificate with you.
  6. The officer will then verify your documents and book you for a particle driver’s skill exam and a theory exam to prove that you’re a capable to driver safely
  7. Once you pass all the test you will receive a competency slip which you can pick up at the Inland Revenue Licensing Office. You may still re-take the exam, in case you did not pass on your first try.
  8. On passing the required test the attending offer will take your photographs and asset of fingerprints if applicable and attach them to your documents
  9. Pay the required fees of the category (class) of the drivers licenses you had apply for and you will be issued a temporary driver’s license and be inform when to collect your license.

Learner's Permit

The learner's permit gives its holder the right learn how to drive and practice his/her driving knowledge. It is valid for a period of six (6) months from the date it was issued, and is used between 6:00am and 6:00pm.

Driver’s Licenses

First, the first time driver must choose which type of license they wish to apply for. In the state of Granada the motorist will have the choice of the following driver’s licenses:

Class A. A Class a license is for all motorists that are operating non- commercial combination vehicle which weighs more than 26,000 pounds.

Class B. A Class B driver’s license is for all motorists that will be operating a non-commercial vehicle which weighs more than 26,000 pound. For motorists operating a motor home on the highways and roads they are likely to obtain a Class B driver’s license.

Class C. A Class C driver’s license if valid for operating most cars on the public highways and roads. Class M. A Class M driver’s license is for all motorists that are operating a motorcycle or moped on the highways and roads.

Commercial CDL, A, B and C. A Commercial CDL A, B and C are for all those motorists that will be operating a commercial vehicle on the highways and roads
