Antecedents of domestic servants should be verified where ever possible through the police before they are employed. Keeping a record of finger prints, photographs and personal details of all domestic servants may be useful.

Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant shall go to their local police station and consult with the station in charge about how to register a servant.
  2. Following link provides contact details: Goa police
  3. Applicant shall follow the authority’s guidelines to register a servant.
  4. Applicant shall collect the servant registration form or write on an A4 sheet as advised.

  6. Complete the application form with Servant details and the applicant details.
  7. Please submit the completed application (in 2 sets) along with required documents as mentioned in the “Required Documents” section to the receiving authority.
  8. Authority will check the submitted application set. If all are in place, the authority will accept the application.
  9. Authorities will enter the details as per submitted application and other details in the respective servant register.
  10. Authority will issue a receipt with a unique number along with the details mentioned on the registry (District/Police station/Year/Month/Serial number/month).
  11. Please keep it safe for future reference.
  12. This application will be processed further.
  13. Respective Beat officers may visit the employer’s residence.
  14. Verification of employees shall be done by the concerned Police Station.
  15. If the employee is from another district then information will be passed on to the concerned DCP office for verification.
  16. Once the results are ready. The results of these enquiries will be entered in the relevant column of the servant registration register.
  17. Employers will be informed to collect the servant registration receipt from the concerned Police Station.
Note:Applicant shall consult their neighbours and friends who already applied for this certificate to get clarity before applying.

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • Get your domestic help registered at the local police station and make sure that the cops cross-checks their details.
  • This will help the employers to hire a maid being verified by the police station.
  • In order to ensure that no criminal or anti-social element is able to insidiously enter into the citizen's home or neighbourhood, all servants must be subjected to police verification.
