Goa - Apply for Griha Aadhar or Homemaker Allowance Scheme

Apply In-Person:
- The applicant has to approach the Director of Women and Child Development. Applicant can obtain the application forms from the respective officer by paying an application fee of Fifty rupees.
- The applicant has to enter all the required details in the application form.
- The applicant has to attach the documents mentioned in the “Required Documents” section below, to the application form.
- The applicant has to submit the form and the attached documents to the Director of Women and Child Development.
- The application will be scrutinized and sanction will be issued by the Director of Women and Child Development.
- The Director of Women and Child Development will establish facilitation centres in the taluka level offices for processing the application forms.
- In case of non-withdrawal of financial assistance received by the beneficiary under the scheme for a continuous period of 6 months and above, then the accumulated amount shall be reversed in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director, Directorate of Women & Child Development by the concerned bank.
- The beneficiary under the scheme will be paid an amount of Rs. 1,500/- per month, as financial assistance.
- The amount will be paid every month directly into the savings bank account of the eligible beneficiary by ABPS (Aadhar Bridge Payment System)/ ACH (Automated Credit House)/ NEFT (National Electronic Fund Transfer)

The following are the required documents to apply for this scheme:
- Attested copy of Aadhar Card
- Marriage Certificate (self-attested)
- Proof of present residential address
- 15 years residential certificate
- Income certificate
- Attested copy of savings bank account passbook
- Child or children’s birth certificate
- Note: In case of applicant who is originally native from outside the State and has married to a person of Goan origin:
- Attested copy of Birth certificate along with one year residence certificate of the applicant and Birth certificate along with 15 years Residence certificate of husband.
- Attested copy of Birth certificate along with one year residence certificate of the applicant and Birth certificate along with 15 years Residence certificate of husband.

EligibilityEdit
Given below are the eligibility criteria to avail the benefits of the scheme:
- The homemaker should be above 18 years of age.
- The homemaker should be a resident of the State for 15 years.
- The annual income earned by the couple should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000.
- Widows and divorcees are also eligible to apply for this scheme.
- The receiver or the husband should not avail benefits from the Dayanand Social Security Scheme (DSSS).

Other conditions: -
- The beneficiary must submit a life certificate along with an income certificate issued by the competent authority (i.e. Secretary, Village Panchayat/ Chief Officer, Municipal Council) every year, in the month in which she was sanctioned the benefits under the Griha Aadhar Scheme.
- In case of a widow who is a DSSS beneficiary and has a child, the beneficiary must also submit a life certificate (in respect of the child) every year in the month in which she was sanctioned the benefits under the Griha Aadhar Scheme.
- The Life Certificate stated must be signed by any Gazetted Officer or MLA or MP in the Format at Annexure-B.
- In the event, the beneficiary fails to file the Life Certificate along with Income Certificate; the monthly financial assistance will be stopped. On receipt of the Life Certificate and Income Certificate (and subject to the fulfilment of other conditions) the monthly financial assistance will be resumed from the next month.
- In case of non-withdrawal of financial assistance received by the beneficiary under the scheme for a continuous period of 6 months or above, the accumulated amount will be reversed in the form of Demand Draft in favour of Director, Directorate of Women & Child Development by the bank.
- In case the benefits under the scheme are availed by the beneficiary based on wrong/false information or declaration, an action to prosecute will be initiated and the person will be debarred from getting the benefits under any other schemes of the Government.
