Through Enrolment centres:
- Applicant has to locate an enrolment centre to apply. Online link for enrolment centre : Centre link
- Book an Appointment for processing. Link for appointment : link for appointment
- With / without online appointment, applicant has to physically go to the AADHAAR card enrolment centre with required documents.
- Submit the required documents to the authority in the centre.
- Authority will process the details online as per the documents provided (operator would check whether this data is already available through different application)
- Applicant will be asked to get biometric scanning for finger print followed by Iris scanning and then Photograph session to complete the requirement for processing.
- Upon completion of above steps, Applicant will be issued with an acknowledgement receipt for future reference and the request will be processed further.
Note:
- User can use the following link for “mAadhaar” App. : link useful to carry soft copy of aadhaar.
- Contact local bank branch to get the details of designated Bank branches for Aadhaar Enrolment in their area.
Apply In-Person:
- Applicant who wants to apply for Aadhaar card must visit the General Administration Department.
- The office address and contact details are available below. Refer “Office Locations & Contacts” section. The details regarding contacts can be obtained from following link: link.
- The applicant can obtain the application form to apply for Aadhaar card from the registrar.
- The applicant must make sure that they have all the documents that are listed under the “Required Documents” section of this page.
- The applicant must submit all the necessary documents along with the application form to the registrar (Deputy Commissioner of Police).
- There is no application fee to apply for Aadhaar card.
- Once the application form is submitted, the applicant must undergo biometric process which includes iris and fingerprint scanning.
- Once the biometric process is completed, an acknowledgment slip is given to the applicant containing the applicant’s application ID.
- The processing time usually takes about 90 days from the date of applying.
- Once the process is completed the applicant may receive an SMS to their registered mobile number.
- The applicant will receive the Aadhaar card through post to the address given in the application form
Apply Online:
- To book an appointment for Aadhaar service the applicant must visit the site. Link: link
- The applicant need to select the centre name and click “Proceed” to book appointment.
- Now the applicant need to choose the service “ New Aadhaar or Aadhaar update” to book an appointment for applying for a new Aadhaar card.
- The applicant need to fill the mobile number and enter Captcha and click “submit” button at the bottom.
- Now the applicant need to enter the OTP generated to their mobile. On successful authentication of your mobile, a form to fill in the required details will be displayed.
- The applicant need to fill the required details and click the “submit” button to submit the form.
- The applicant can also manage the appointment details (date and time) by visiting the Manage appointment tab present at the bottom of the page.

Need for the DocumentEdit
- Aadhaar card is an initiative by the government to organize citizen.
- Unique Identification Authority of India, issues this card. It is a 12 digit identity contains combination of numbers and alphabets.
- Aadhaar card is mandatory in opening bank account.
- Aadhaar card is useful in most of the application for obtaining voter id, ration card, pan card, Land registration, Driving license, Vehicle registration and more.
- If in case your Aadhaar card is lost / damaged / misplaced, one has to apply for duplicate Aadhaar card
