Apply In-Person:
- To Replace a Lost/Damaged Land Title in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Land Commission office Contact link
- The application must be made by all the registered owners, fully describing the circumstances of the loss and giving details as to where the duplicate title was normally kept, by whom, when and where it was last seen, among other things. In case the duplicate title is lost by theft or fire then additional proof may be required such as a Police or Fire Report.
- This form can also be obtained from the Land Commission Office.
- The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
- This application will be processed and information will be verified by the LC office.
- When the application is approved then the applicant will be directed to advertise in a newspaper the loss of the Title and the intention of the Registrar to cancel the Title and issue a new one.
- Applicant will then forward the relevant sheet of the newspaper along with the appropriate fees and the new Title will be issued.

- Identity card (copy) for the applicant if Ghanaian.
- Foreign national registration certificate- alien card (copy) for foreigners who are residents in Ghana.
- Passport (copy) for the applicant if a non-citizen.
- Proof of payment receipt.

EligibilityEdit
- Anyone who owns land can apply for a land title replacement of a new land title.
FeesEdit
- A fee of GHS.47, 500 is charged for the land title.
ValidityEdit
- A land title has no validity period as long as it is issued by the authorized body and transfer of title to another person is not made.
