Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Obtain Particulars of a Mortgage or Charge in person, the applicant has to approach the RGD office. Contact link
2. Applicants must download the application form 9B Link
3. Applicant filled all details in the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Name should be exact as registered, should there have been any Change of Name after registration does state the new name.
6. The Registration Number is stated at the top left side of the Registration Certificate.
7. Full name and TIN of the natural person or legal entity submitting documents to the Registrar of companies.
8. Read the instructions before completing form. Incomplete applications or invalid data may delay the registration process.
9. The Registration Number is stated at the top left side of the Registration Certificate.
10. Then, the Applicants Provide the Signature in the space provided in the declaration.
11. Applicant should all relevant documents attached in application form.
12. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per as authority’s request.
13. The prescribed fee must be paid by the applicant, and the receipt of payment must be attached with the application form.
14. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is taken 2 months.
15. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the information are in order, you will be notified of the outcome and issued with an amended business registration certificate and other supporting documents upon payment of the required fees.

Eligibility

• A Ghanaian LLC can be formed by a single shareholder, who must appoint two directors. While all can be foreigners, one of the directors must be ordinarily resident in Ghana.
• Only Ghanaians above the age of 18 years are eligible.

• Particulars of Mortgagee/Chargee/Debenture Holder (Description of persons entitled to the charge)
• Signature of applicant
• Date of submission document
• Name of company inspector
• Filling data

Need for the Document

• The mortgage is created by mere deposit of title deeds (original ownership documents, like sale deed/gift deed/partition deed etc., and link documents) and executing a memorandum of deposit of title deeds.
