Apply In-Person:

  1. Applicant must go to the National Schools Inspectorate Authority NaSIA office and the applicant can get their application form for School Inspector link
  2. Applicant download the application form for School Inspector Application Link
  3. All Interested applicants should complete and submit an Application Form on NaSIA’s website or click the Link
  4. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
  5. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all the documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
  6. Applicant must make sure to carry all the necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
  7. The Fee for this procedure has to be paid as per the authority’s request.
  8. If all the above mentioned procedures were followed properly by the applicant, the application form will be viewed by concerned authorities and the applicant will be notified regarding their school inspector.
  9. This application will be processed and the information will be verified by the NaSIA.
  10. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
  11. The applicant after seeing the notification can go to the NaSIA office and the applicants get their certificate.
  12. The processing time for this procedure takes 1 to 5 working days.

EligibilityEdit

  • Minimum entry requirement is a First Degree in any discipline from a recognized University (i.e. Universities recognized and/or accredited by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). Considerable School leadership, teaching or classroom experience may be an added advantage.
  • This includes (retired) Teachers of both local and international curricula, Directors, Head teachers, Circuit Supervisors at the Pre-Tertiary level of both Public and Private schools.
  • Lecturers (retired or active) from any recognized Tertiary institutions. Education Consultants, Retired Manager and Finance professionals or other experienced professionals with good work experience at management level.
  • Must be Computer Literate with enough experience in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must not be more than 62 years at the time of application.

In 2008, the Education Act, 778 established the National Inspectorate Board (NIB).
The main responsibilities of NIB are:

  • To set and enforce standards to be observed at the basic and secondary levels in both public and private educational institutions.
