Apply In-Person:
- Application for a Ghana Agricultural License (Permit)is done in person by visiting the Agriculture and Food Authority Board Head Offices in Ghana.contact link
- Applicant must obtain the application form from the MOFA department.
- Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
- Also, make sure that the applicant has all the documents listed in the “Required documents” section of this page.
- Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
- Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as proof of payment.
- This is followed by an inspection of applicants by the Board field Officers.
- Recommendations based in findings of the investigation will be made to the Tea directorate’s Board Headquarters for final approval by the Board approval.
- At this point the applicant is notified if he/she has been successfully registered or which rectifications have to be made for them to beGhana Agricultural License (Permit).
- Once the certification process is done the license is issued to the applicant.
- This process takes a maximum of 30 days.

- Original Land certificate of registration (Applicant names)
- Certificate of incorporation for a (Company)
- Applicant should obtain clearance.
- Original municipality receipt for the previous year.
- Original trading License for the previous year for already existing Agriculture Activity.
- Report on nature of Agriculture Activity.

- All persons interested in Ghana and commercial Agriculture are Eligible provide they meet the requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture Animal industries and Fisheries and Council requirements.

Need for the DocumentEdit
A person shall not, without prior permission from the Council, engage in commercial urban agriculture in any of the following areas—
- A road reserve within the meaning of the Roads Act.
- A wetland as defined by the National Environment Act.
- A greenbelt gazetted by the Council.
- A park gazetted by the Council.
- An abandoned landfill as gazetted by the Council or any other area designated by the Council as a toxic area.
- An area less than ten feet away from an open drainage channel gazetted by the Council; or any other area that Council may specify.
