Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Duplicate Registration Book/Number Plate in Ghana, the applicant should contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office.

3. Applicant has to approach the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office in Ghana and the, the applicant can get their application form for Apply for a Duplicate Registration Book/Number Plate.
4. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
6. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Attach two passport size photos and appropriate documents.
8. Submit the application form along with the documents to one of the counter.
9. After your application is verified and appropriate fees are paid the duplicate registration Book/ Number plate will be provided.
10. The processing time for this procedure is 5 days.

Need for the Document

• In case of loss/destruction of the RC, a person can apply for a duplicate Registration Certificate to the concerned Regional Transport Officer along with a copy of the report lodged with the Police Station in whose jurisdiction such a loss/destruction has occurred.
