Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Marriage or Responsibility Relief in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) link
  2. Applicant must obtain the application form from the relevant department.
  3. Applicant should read carefully in the application form, after all details must be filled in the application form.
  4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
  5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
  6. Submit the completed form along with the supporting documents to the respective office.
  7. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the GRA.
  8. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
  9. After getting the notification from concerned authorities, applicant can visit the office to collect their document.
  10. If there is no information regarding the application, then, the applicant can visit the office to know status of the application.
  11. The Processing time for this procedure is 1 month.

  • A resident individual can apply to the Commissioner-General in a prescribed form. The relief is given with respect to your personal situation as stated on your application form.
  • The relief form can be obtained from any of the GRA’s Domestic Tax Revenue Division offices across the country.
