Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. Application form for Civil Society Strengthening Facility in Ghana is available in the Ghana non-Profit Organization secretariat. contact link
2. Applicant should obtain the application form from respective office.
3. Applicant has to enter all information the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry both photocopies and originals of all documents are necessary for completing this procedure.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
6. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
7. The organization which is interested in this fund should apply and submit only one proposal selected from the priority areas listed above in this procedure. Applications are submitted once every year.
8. Develop a well written project proposal while demonstrating shared vision and values of Ibis and CBO/CSOs. People representing themselves, gender equality, mutual respect, commitment to work with poor communities and marginalized groups, equity and transparency. Show in your proposal willingness to operate a Bank account with Multiple, signatories, willing to establish a good and acceptable financial systems and books of Accounts.
9. Submit a well developed proposal and address it to national coordinator of CSSF. The project proposal should clearly demonstrate an understanding to the problem to be addressed through the Grant and the way the group hopes to address it. The proposal MUST have clear, achievable objective which are interrelated and contribute to CSSF's aim and strengthening civil society groups in the forest sector.
10. The Processing time for this procedure is 60-90 working days.

• A Fees for this procedure has to be paid as per authority request.

Need for the Document

• The Civil Society Strengthening Facility is a department for international development (DFID)Funding projects targeting CSO in the forest sector, it involves three main forest Districts, dealing directly with civil society groups that are down the ladder by engaging them to understand more about forest policies, how these policies benefit them, how their interest can be represented, how to organize themselves better to make policies work them and how to engage government to amend and changes policies in their favour, The fund is being contracted to FRR Ltd in London. A Ghanaian NGO Centre for indigenous knowledge and organizational development (CIKOD) is in Charge of administering the fund and conducting field activities.
