Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To apply for change of owner of Pesticides in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) office or Ministry of Food and Agriculture Department. Contact link
2. Then, the applicant can get their application form from the relevant department.
3. Read through the application form carefully as it contains different section.
4. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
5. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
6. Submit the completed forms along with the supporting documents at the EPA office for verification and processing.
7. Applicant will be issued with the prescribed fee invoice, visit any ECOBANK branch near the applicant with the invoice and make the payment.
8. This application will be processed and information will be verified by the EPA.
9. If the verification is successful, the notification will be sent to the applicant.
10. The applicant after seeing the notification can go to the EPA office and applicant get the certificate.
11. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is taken 1 month.

• Valid national identity card copy.
• Valid company registration certificate copy.
• A signed application letter for transfer of ownership from the owner (vendor)
• 2 recent coloured passport size picture of the owner
• 2 recent passport size pictures of the new owner (buyer)
• Id card of both vendor and buyer
• Proof of fees payment
• Any other documents that may be request by the EPA.

• Where originals (documents) are in another language, copies should be presented together with certified English translations.
• To maintain your license status, the facility shall be inspected annually to ensure that the facility remains in compliance with the license requirements.

• Other name used (include trade name, doing business-as, previous names, etc.)
• Mailing address of company
• Physical address: (include legal name , number, street , city and district)

• Contact person’s information (legal name/email/telephone)
• Declaration by the applicant.

• This application permits the Pesticide manufacturers to change the name of their pest control products.

Information which might help

• The transfer of ownership of pesticidesis to be applied in the concerned EPA office where the pesticide is registered. If the transfer of ownership in case of death of the registered owner, the application is to be made by the legal heirs of the pesticides with the required set of documents.
