Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Certificate of Registration as Coffee Exporter in person, the applicant has to approach the Ministry of Food and Agriculture Offices in Ghana Contact link
2. Application form should obtain the respective office.
3. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
4. The applicant has to make sure he or she has all the required documents that are required for this process to be successful and they can be found under the "Required Documents" section of this page.
5. Payment of appropriate fees should be made and that can be found under the "Fees" section of this page.
6. Submit the completed application form and pay the required application fee and submit the receipt as a proof of payment.
7. Where the Authority is satisfied that the applicant for a certificate of registration for marketing coffee has satisfied all the requirements necessary for the grant of the registration certificate, and upon payment of the prescribed fee, the Authority may grant him the certificate
8. Collect the applicant’s certificate of registration from where his/her application was submitted within a day from the date the application was received at Ghana MOFA authority in case there is no rejection.
9. This process takes a maximum of 30 days.

• Certificate of Company Incorporation (Valid Copy to be attached)
• Directors National Identity Cards/ Passport ( To attach Copies)
• Names and the Particulars of Directors (Valid/ stamped details to be attached).
• The Food, Drugs, and Chemical Substances (Food Hygiene Regulations) License (Cap 254) by the Public Health Department (Valid Copy to be attached)
• Company profile indicating Memorandum and Articles of Association, shareholders and management set up
• Provide evidence of access to a reprocessing factory capable of producing export grades
• Valid Export Certificate / License / Permits from Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Industry.
• Quality Certificate from relevant regulatory bodies.
• Certificate of origin from.
• Movement certificate for goods.

• This is valid for a period of one year.

Need for the Document

• The certificate shall apply to any type or grade of coffee grown in or brought into Ghana for purposes of marketing, processing or export, but shall not apply to coffee which is brought into Ghana for transit purposes only.
