Apply In-Person:

  1. To Apply for Bilateral Scholarship award in Ghana, the applicant must go to the Scholarship Secretariat in Ghana contact link
  2. Then, the applicant can get their application form from the Ghana scholarship secretariat.
  3. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
  4. Make sure that his/her have all the documents listed in the “Required Documents” section of this page.
  5. A fee for this procedure is has to be paid as per as authority’s request.
  6. Completed application form must submit to the respective office.
  7. Applicant grant proposal will contain everything about the applicant project or what the applicant intend to do with the funding the applicant can avail from the government. One of the keys to learning how to apply for government grants is to learn to write a good grant proposal. Of course, the applicant proposal will be the basis of the approval of the applicant grant.
  8. Although the applicant is asking for funding, it can be impressive for any funding agency or, in this case, the government to see the applicant part or the applicant contribution in the attainment of that project. If the applicants don’t have an amount of cash as counterpart, then the applicant can also present your labour and other resources as the applicant budgetary counterpart in the fulfilment of the project. Of course, the applicants don’t have to everything to the funding the applicant will receive.
  9. If the applicant lack requirements, all the applicant efforts may be put to waste and the applicant application denied. After the applicant has submitted everything to the Education Trust Fund or concerned agencies, the applicant can now then wait for the notification of approval of the applicant grant.
  10. Generally, the processing time for this procedure is 90 days.

EligibilityEdit

  •  Be a Ghanaian citizen resident in Ghana.
  • Must have genuine Birth Certificate.
  • To be eligible, Undergraduate students must have senior high school certificate with a minimum aggregate of eighteen (18).
  • You MUST be above twenty- three years of age.


Candidates for Masters Programmer

  • Must have bachelor’s degree with 2nd class upper or better.
  • Must have at least two (2) years post national service work experience.
  • Should not be more than 35years of age.
  • Postgraduate students should not be more than 45years of age.



FeesEdit

These countries are responsible for the tuition and accommodation, while Ghana government takes care of the following;

  • $500 monthly for supplementation
  • $250 yearly for warm clothing
  • $200 yearly for Health Insurance
  • $500 yearly for medical scholars only
  • $1000 for PG research grant yearly were applicable
  • GD100,000 Take off for PG scholars were applicable
  • GD60,000 Take off for UG scholars were applicable

Need for the DocumentEdit

  • The bilateral Scholarship award are based on bilateral cooperation agreements between Ghana and friendly countries, namely, Russia, Czech Republic, China, Cuba, Morocco, Egypt, Algeria Turkey and others as may be communicated to the Scholarships Secretariat. Notification of the awards (which cover a wide range of subject areas in the sciences, technology, humanities and social sciences) are given each year by the countries concerned, through Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration.
