Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for Alteration of Particular on a Motor Vehicle in Ghana, the applicant should contact the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office.

3. Applicant has to approach the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority Head Office in Ghana and the, the applicant can get their application form.
4. Applicant has to enter all the information in the application form.
5. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
6. Please refer to the fees details in the “Fees” section of this page.
7. Attach two passport size photos and appropriate documents.
8. Submit the application form along with the documents to one of the counter.
9. Upon submission, the applicant will get an e-acknowledgment receipt. Scroll down the page to print the receipt, print the form and payment slip.
10. Make payments in the selected bank and submit application to Licensing office for approval with attachments.
11. DVLA will notify you about your application status within 2 working days after receiving all the necessary information.

• Alteration forms signed the applicant and stamped in case of companies
• The receipt for inspection and form fees
• The original logbook of the vehicle
• Verification report of the vehicle details done by the DVLA staff or officer
• Receipt or report from the weight bridge in case the weight are changing (optional)
• Copy of the identification card of the applicant (ID card)
• Payment slip for alteration fees of all particular selected
