Procedure

Apply In-Person:

1. To Apply for WAEC Certificate in Ghana, the applicant has to approach the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) office link
2. Applicants approach the WAEC office and applicant get their application form for WAEC certificate.
3. Applicant has to enter all information in the application form.
4. Applicant must make sure to carry all necessary documents that are mentioned under “Required Documents” section of this page. (Both photocopies and originals)
5. Applicant should attach photocopies of documents (whichever is necessary) along with the applicant from while submitting it at the office.
6. The completed application form must submit to the WAEC office.
7. The price for getting WAEC certificate is just N3, 550.00. This fee must be paid in full to WAEC before the certificate will be issued to applicant.
8. The Processing time for this procedure is 10-30 days.
   

Apply Online

1. Go to online website and download the application form link
2. Once the WAEC Result is out, private candidates can now proceed to request their statement of results as well as their certificate. The west African examination council(WAEC) has released the online application procedures for the result of certificates online.
3. Private candidates are now required to apply for their certificates online.
4. After the online result application, the certificates will be dispatched to the WAEC office of their choice for collection.
5. Candidates are also informed that the certificates for private candidates will be printed only on request.
6. Candidates should be collected within 48 hours.

It’s valid for a lifetime and has no expiry date.

Need for the Document

Students who pass the WASSCE exam receive a certificate confirming their4 graduate from secondary education. It is administered by the West African Examinations Council (WAEC).

Information which might help

• A candidate who lives outside Ghana and wants to collect his/her certificate must arrange for a responsible person to collect the appropriate form from any of the council’s office in the country for him/her.
• The candidates should then fill in the said form and attach clear photocopies of the following pages of his/her passport where
  • His /her particulars are stated.
  • His /her profession is stated.
  • His /her visa for the trip out of Ghana is.
  • The signature of the director of passport.
  • The bearer’s signature is.
