Georgia - Replace Lost / Stolen Electronic Identity (eID) Card
ProcedureEdit
- Report the lost your ID: Once you found out that your e-ID card was lost, you must immediately report the incident to the Public Service Development Agency. The Agency will block the identification and digital signature certificates so as to prevent anyone from using them even if they know your secret PIN codes. Online identification systems will automatically block any attempt of access with your e-ID card; also, any digital signature which appears after the cancellation of e-ID card will be deemed void.
- Apply for a new one: Go to any branch of Public Service Development Agency or Public Service Hall and apply for a new one.
Required DocumentsEdit
- Two photos (photos may be taken in branches of Public Service Development Agency or Public Service Hall for 3 GEL per set);
- ID card to be replaced (except when ID card has been lost);
- In case of changing personal data, a proof of change (of name, surname, et cetera);

EligibilityEdit
You may apply for a replacement card in these following cases:
- Unfit to be used (because of wear, damage or loss).
- Change of domicile (except in cases when a person holds a new ID (residence) card);
- Expiry of validity term;
- Change of name or surname;
- Inaccuracy in the data;
FeesEdit
- Tenth business day 30 GEL
- Fifth business day 40 GEL
- Third business day 50 GEL
- Second business day 60 GEL
- The same day 65 GEL
The following categories are exempt from the payment of ID card fees:
- Members of socially vulnerable families with rating score of up to 70,001 units;
- Participants of World War II;
- Georgian citizens who became disabled during the fight for territorial integrity of Georgia;
- People whom President of Georgia granted citizenship of Georgia;
- Students of authorized higher educational institutions, whose status can be verified in the database of Public Service Development Agency, are eligible to 10 GEL discount;
- Students, who have already used the 10 GEL discount but want to get a document anew, are eligible to 3 GEL discount.
