A passport is issued to a citizen of Georgia of any age for leaving Georgia, traveling abroad and entrance to Georgia.

All applicants must be
a) A major, capable person to whom a passport shall be issued;
b) A person under age 16 to 18 being in registered marriage, if identity card has been issued to him/her;
c) A legal representative of a minor, also of a person being under guardianship or care, except the cases, when a person under age 16 to 18 has been in registered marriage and identity card is already issued to him/her;
d) A minor reached the age of 14 to whom a passport shall be issued, if identity card is already received;
e) A person with power of attorney notarized under the relevant law;
A presenter (applicant) for issuance of a passport for a citizen being aboard may be:
a) A major, capable person to whom a passport shall be issued;
b) A person under age 16 to 18 being in registered marriage, if identity card has been issued to him/her;
c) A legal representative of a minor, also of a person being under guardianship or care, except the cases, when a person under age 16 to 18 has been in registered marriage and identity card is already issued to him/her;
d) A minor reached the age of 14 to whom a passport shall be issued, if she/he has already received identity card;
e) A person with power of attorney notarized under the relevant law;

A Passport is a verifying document of the identity and citizenship of a person, which is valid on the territory of Georgia as well as beyond its borders. Passports are issued by the ministry of justice

Applicants are able to receive a passport through an authorized attorney. For this purpose, your authorized representative (attorney) should come to Public Service Hall, present identity card, and notarized power of attorney on receipt of passport, fill out an application in place and receive a passport.
