Procedure

How to Apply:

1. You should contact the ministry of the interior office or related offices for making this application.
2. Write a handwritten request letter addressed to the Minister of the Interior and submit it along with the required documents (listed under “Required Documents” section) for verification and processing at the Directorate General of Elections and Public Liberties office.
3. If the register is satisfied that all the documents are in order you will be notified of the outcome and issued with a certificate of association registration.

Required Documents

• Three (3) copies of the statutes
• Three (3) copies of the internal regulations
• Three (3) copies of the minutes of the constituent assembly duly signed by all participants
• A receipt of 10,000 francs issued by the Official Journal
• Three (3) copies of the list of members of the Board of Directors with the full address of each member of the board, namely:
  
• Name and First name, Date and place of birth, Profession, Position held within the association's office, Nationality, Domicile, Full address (PO, Telephone, e-mail)

Required Information

• Names of the officials in full. Chairman, secretary and treasures. Assistant officials where applicable.
• Name of the proposed association
• The association's aims and objectives, name symbol, emblem and motto;
• Addresses of each official.
• Proposed Physical address of the Society. Plot number, road, and town.
• Copies of the ID, and Passport photo of the officials.
• Nationality of the officials
• Contact details of the member officials

Need for the Document

• An association is a non-profit organization with members, whose intention it is to front causes of idealistic, political or other character.
• Societies, Associations and Clubs are registered under the association Act. Law No. 35/62 of December 10, 1962 in Gabon by the Registrar of Directorate General of Elections and Public Liberties.
