Procedure

How to Apply:

1. Application forms can be obtained from any of the DIRECTION GENERALE DES IMPOTS (DGI) agency office, or download it via the DGI website or click the click below to download:(Application form IM02) & (Application form IM03)
2. Submit the duly completed forms along with the supporting documents (listed under “Required Documents” section) at any of the DGI agency office department of Tax Authorities' Registration Office for verification and process.
3. If the register or authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order, you will be notified of the outcome within one week and assigning a unique personal Fiscal Identification Number (NIF).
   

Note: Failure to file or file an application for registration with the DGI within two months will result fine.

Required Documents

• Registration request form, printed no. IM02 provided by the administration, duly completed.
• Copy of identity document (national identity card, driving license, passport) or residence permit for foreign residents.
• Copy of the employment contract.
• Location map of the employer company on the IM03 form provided by the administration.

Need for the Document

All employees (private and government sector) are liable to pay tax in Gabon, and are required to register with the Direction Générale des Impôts and be assigning a unique personal Fiscal Identification Number (NIF), which will enable them to meet the following obligations;

• To make themselves known to the tax authorities and fulfill their tax obligations.
• To be able to carry out customs formalities.
• To bid on public contracts.
• To be included in the chain of budgetary procedures (commitment, scheduling, settlement).
