Procedure

How to Apply:

1. Visit the Directorate General for Documentation and Immigration (DGDI) office near you and express your interest at the service desk.
2. Application form can be obtained from the DGDI office, or download it via the Emi-immigration website portal or click the link below to download :(Application form)
3. The Application form should be filled by the landlord/agent in the presences of a witness and signed by both parties.
4. Submit the completed duly filed application form along with the supporting documents (listed under “Required Documents” section) for verification and processing to the attending official at the DGDI.
5. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order, the Information obtained from the application form will be entered into the DGDI data system.
6. You will then be notified of the outcome and be issued with the proof of housing permit.

Need for the Document

• Foreigners living in Gabon are required to enter into a legal contract with the landlord and obtain proof of housing issued by the Directorate General for Documentation and Immigration (DGDI)
• The proof for housing is required when applying for a residential permit.
