Gabon - Apply for a Spousal visa or Family Visa
ProcedureEdit
- The applicant is required to download a Visa application form.http://visaapplicationrequirements.com/gabonese/
- The applicant should also acquire a cover letter from his employer so as to start applying for a business visa.
- The applicant is required to pay visa fees at a designated bank and acquire a receipt acknowledging payment.
- The applicant then submits a fully filled and signed visa application form together with the payment receipt and cover to a Gabon embassy in their country or at an entry point into Gabon.
- After a few days a Gabon Visa will be issued to the applicant upon fulfilling all the requirements for Visa application.

- Marriage certificate
- Certificate of good conduct
- Proof that the marriage was not entered into for the purpose of acquiring immigration or citizenship status (joint sworn affidavit)
- Proof that the marriage is subsisting (applicable to spouses)
- Copy of national passport
- Copy of Gabon passport or identity card of the Gabon spouse
- 2 passport size photographs

- First off you will need to enter Gabon on a visitor's visa.
- You need to present proof of marriage to the immigration department.
- You must be in possession of a valid passport with blank pages where the Visa will be placed.
- Once you obtain your spousal Visa you do not need to renew your Visitors Visa once it expires after 6 months.
- A spousal Visa does not guarantee a foreigner to work in Gabon.

A Spousal visa in Gabon is issued to the spouse, partner or de facto partner of a resident or citizen of Gabon to enable the couple reside in Gabon. Your spouse must be a Gabon national for you to obtain a spousal Visa.
The spousal Visa permits entry into Gabon through any border posts, sea ports and airports. However the possession of a Gabon Visa is not the final authority to enter Gabon as one has to contact the Department of documentation and immigrations in Gabon for details and authorization.
