Procedure

How to Apply:

1. You should visit the Caisse Nationale de Sécurité Sociale (CNSS) office near you and express your interest at the service desk.
2. Request form can be obtain at any CNSS branch office or download it via the CNSS website portal or click the link below to download :(Application form)
3. Submit the completed duly filled application form along with the supporting documents (listed under “Required Documents” section) for verification and processing to the attending official at the CNSS.
4. If the authorized official is satisfied that all the documents are in order you will be notified of the outcome and be given further instruction.

A SINGLE PERSONAL INSURANCE

• Legalized birth certificate of the insured
• Legalized birth certificates for children
• Medical certificates for children under 6
• School certificates for children 6 to 20 years old
• AF certificate of non-perception (CNP) if the other parent is a civil servant or a student
• Birth certificate (legalized copy)
• Pregnancy certificates (3rd and 6th month)

NEW BIRTH ALIGNMENT
NB: For children under 2 years old, provide:

• Birth certificate (legalized copy)
• Pregnancy certificates (3rd and 6th month)
• Childbirth certificate
• Maintenance and education certificate and / or (paternity certificate in the event of pregnancy)

Eligibility

A single male/female or Married couple insured with the CNSS and have a child(ren)under the age of 16 years and the child(ren) meet the following criteria:

• Children effectively dependent on the insured, who reside in Gabon and who fall into one of the following categories, are entitled to family allowances:
• Children from the marriage or marriages of the person concerned provided that this or these marriages have been registered civil status;
• Children of employed single mothers;
• The children whom the wife of the insured person had from a previous marriage, where there has been a duly declared death or a judicially pronounced divorce, except when the children have remained in the care of the first husband or the latter contributes to their maintenance;
• Children who have been the subject of an adoption by the married insured, or of an adoptive legitimation, in accordance with the rules of the Civil Code.
